Shucking over 1000 oysters a day, the Bentley's team are well suited to guide you through the world of our favourite molluscs. Our weekly Oyster Masterclass offers you a chance to learn from the best, enjoying plenty of oysters along the way!

A journey through the Great British and Irish coasts, learn the history of oysters in our lands, expert techniques for shucking and pairing, as well as the schemes which Bentley's are part of the preserve Oyster populations across the country.

What to expect

You'll shuck and enjoy a selection of oysters in this interactive class, learning the difference between Rock and Native oysters, as well as what differs between oysters from different locations. 

Alongside, our sommelier team have chosen the perfect pairings to go with your meaty molluscs, with the team on hand to offer intel as to why it works. 

Finish with some cooked and dressed oysters, and take home an exclusive Bentley's Goodybag as you prepare for your new life as an Oyster master!

These 90 minute classes start at 10:30am. The class costs £75 per person and includes champagne on arrival, an oyster master class and tasting with sommelier-matched wine. You will also get to take home your very own oyster passport, Bentley's knife and recipe card. You will sample a variety of oysters, the exact types will depend on what is in season and what is available.
